The intern will assist in curriculum development, program implementation, and managing food access workflows to empower families with children aged 0-5.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Development: Designing a comprehensive library of nutrition education handouts covering diverse topics such as prenatal care, 'first foods' for infants, the brain-body connection, and nutrition labeling
Program Implementation: Facilitating weekly cooking classes alongside Therapeutic Recreation staff and developing curriculum/activities for rooftop gardening classes with Family Place clients
Operations & Logistics: Managing food access workflows, including the selection, procurement, and distribution of nutrient-dense food for program participants
Culinary Innovation: Developing and testing cost-effective recipes specifically tailored for the nutrition program's needs

Required

Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in university dietetic internship program
Applicants must have the ability to use clear and understandable written and verbal English
Ability to communicate effectively, both through written and verbal communication
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record
