AI and Automation Programmer Analyst, Associate - SAP S/4HANA Implementation

Responsibilities

Process Analysis & Opportunity Identification
Work closely with SAP functional and business teams to understand key business processes being implemented in S/4HANA (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
Identify potential areas were AI, machine learning (ML), or automation (RPA, workflow, etc.) can enhance process efficiency, accuracy, or user experience
Document use cases and define measurable business outcomes for AI/automation opportunities
Solution Design & Prototyping
Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes using AI and automation tools (e.g., SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, UiPath, Power Automate, Python-based AI tools, etc.)
Integrate prototypes with SAP environments and relevant data sources where applicable
Validate feasibility and potential business value of proposed solutions
Stakeholder Collaboration
Conduct workshops and demos with business and IT stakeholders to showcase prototypes and gather feedback
Support change management and adoption of automation/AI initiatives
Collaborate with enterprise architects and data teams to ensure scalability and alignment with the overall SAP transformation roadmap
Continuous Learning & Innovation
Stay current on emerging AI and automation technologies relevant to enterprise systems and SAP ecosystem
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, best practices, and innovation pipeline

Required

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience and/or field of study Strong understanding in process analysis, automation, or AI-related projects
1 year of programming analysis experience or internship experience
Must have a degree conferred by the start date
Must have permanent authorization to work full time (40 hours a week) in the United States. PG&E will not provide visa or immigration support
Basic understanding of the technical components of the job
Basic understanding of software, how it works, and how it often breaks

Preferred

Graduating in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA modules and business processes
Familiarity with one or more automation or AI tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, SAP BTP, Python, TensorFlow, Azure AI, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset
Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially for stakeholder demos
Ability to create basic test beds, create test scenarios, create regression tests, document and assess software reliability
Experience working on or supporting SAP implementation or digital transformation programs
Knowledge of data analytics, machine learning model lifecycle, or AI integration with enterprise systems
Exposure to SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (iRPA) or SAP AI Core/Launchpad
Certification in AI/ML, RPA, or SAP technologies is a plus
