Sr. Director, Project & Portfolio Management/Customer Operations

Responsibilities
Establish and improve a scalable, division-wide PPM governance framework
Define and standardize methodologies, tools, metrics, and performance expectations
Ensure consistent application of phase-gate governance, risk management, and change control
Lead executive portfolio and governance forums
Drive operational excellence by increasing portfolio visibility, predictability, and throughput
Provide enterprise-level insight into program health, capacity, risk, and financial outlook
Partner with Finance, Commercial, and Operations leaders
Establish and lead the customer experience governance model
Own and manage above-site escalation pathways in partnership with commercial
Provide functional leadership and matrix oversight to site-level PPM leaders
Collaborate with PPM leaders across Pharma Services and Thermo Fisher
Lead with integrity, inclusion, and accountability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
12+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical, CDMO, or regulated manufacturing environments
Experience designing and leading portfolio and governance operating models
Success leading matrixed, multi-site organizations
Strong executive presence, communication, and influence skills
Financial and operational acumen across complex portfolios
Ability to travel 25% - domestic and international
Extensive leadership experience in PPM governance and customer operations
Preferred
Advanced degree and experience in CDMO environments
Experience in one or more of the following areas desired: Biopharmaceutical operations, governance frameworks, and customer experience management
