Responsibilities
Research Study Development and Planning
Assist in building software and hardware for research studies
Develop data collection tools and programs to be used for analysis
Works with the team to design and execute experiments
Reporting and Analysis. Research, compile and consolidate data
Conduct preliminary analysis
Create reports to all necessary parties (PI, sponsoring agency, etc.) on any modifications to the engineering design of programs
Formulates, prepares databases and generates preliminary measurement reports
Human Subjects' Research. Ensures research-related computer programs and data collection tools are maintained in accordance with HIPAA and NYULH IRB policies
Maintains confidentiality of electronic subject data
Maintain a neat and orderly work area
Work as a functional member of the research team and Department
Attend staff meetings as requested
Responsible for any other duties as stipulated by an Executive Leadership member of the Department, including but not limited to the Department Chairman or the Department Administrator
Follow all applicable HIPPA compliance and safety guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Experience with circuit board design and manufacture
Fluency in high-level software such as Matlab, CAD, and electromagnetic field simulators
Preferred
Masters Degree or higher in engineering, physics, biomedical sciences, or related field
3+ years experience with hands-on hardware development
Expertise in analog electronics
Experience with circuit board design and manufacture

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience With The Siemens Or Other MRI Platforms
