Responsibilities
You'll own end-to-end delivery of features across our AI initiatives:
Sales AI Tools AI-powered account intelligence and pitch generation for our wholesale sales team managing thousands of retail partners. Next-best-action recommendations, competitive positioning, and AI-generated sales materials
Conversational Shopping Build features for our customer experience agent—natural language product search, personalized recommendations, and styling guidance that helps customers discover furniture they didn't know they needed
Qualification
Required
Experience building LLM applications —you've worked with foundation models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or open source), understand prompt engineering, and have shipped LLM-powered features to production
Strong software engineering fundamentals —you write clean, tested, maintainable code. You understand system design, API design, and can build reliable services
Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and retrieval systems —you understand embeddings, vector databases, and how to combine retrieval with generation. You've built or significantly contributed to RAG pipelines
Production experience —you've deployed and maintained systems that serve real users. You understand monitoring, debugging in production, and operating at scale
Experimental mindset —you're comfortable running experiments, measuring results, and iterating based on data. You can design evaluations that tell you whether something is actually working
Bias for action —you move fast, iterate quickly, and aren't afraid to ship and learn. You'd rather have something in front of users than perfect in staging
Comfortable with AI-assisted development —you use tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude to accelerate your work
Preferred
Experience in e-commerce, retail, or marketplace environments
Experience with agentic systems—tool use, function calling, multi-step workflows
Familiarity with agent protocols like MCP (Model Context Protocol), A2A (Agent-to-Agent), or similar standards
Background in search or recommendation systems
Experience with GCP, particularly Vertex AI
Familiarity with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs and platforms
Experience building customer-facing products
