Responsibilities
Lead strategic sourcing and purchasing of coil steel and other metals — negotiate competitive pricing, terms, and reliable supply from domestic and international sources
Own the full MRO procurement program — source and manage indirect spend including production consumables, tooling, machine spares, maintenance supplies, facility services, safety equipment, and capital project support
Build and strengthen long-term relationships with both metals suppliers and MRO vendors — drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, cost, and service across both categories
Identify and execute cost-reduction and optimization opportunities across direct materials and MRO spend — deliver measurable savings without compromising production uptime or quality
Maintain disciplined, cash-flow-efficient inventory for both raw metals and critical MRO items — ensure production and maintenance teams have what they need without tying up excess capital
Develop and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy for both direct and indirect categories, partnering closely with Tie Down’s in-house business analytics and Power BI team to build advanced dashboards, forecast accurately, track KPIs, identify savings opportunities, and turn data into multimillion-dollar impact
Leverage ERP data, Power BI visualizations, and analytics team support to deliver clear, actionable reporting on metals pricing, MRO spend trends, supplier performance, inventory turns, and cost savings
Resolve disruptions quickly — whether it’s steel delivery delays, quality issues, or urgent MRO part shortages — and keep both production and facility operations running smoothly
Collaborate tightly with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, finance, and leadership to align supply plans with aggressive growth and operational reliability goals
Lead and mentor a high-performance supply chain team — develop talent and build a data-driven, results-focused culture
Ensure full compliance with regulations, import requirements, and industry standards across all sourcing categories
