Responsibilities
Inspect incoming freight for damage, shortages, or discrepancies, particularly for FTZ documentation
Audit kitting and assembly projects for accuracy in packaging and labeling
Verify product compliance with industry and Customs rules
Document quality issues and initiate corrective actions
Conduct routine quality inspections on incoming materials and outgoing shipments
Monitor adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Document and report quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
Conduct daily cycle counts and reconciliation of physical inventory against WMS records
Process inbound/outbound inventory transactions
Manage FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) or FIFO inventory rotation
Investigate and report on inventory discrepancies
Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and dock doors
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on equipment
Maintain facility infrastructure (lighting, painting, plumbing, cleaning)
Manage spare parts inventory and maintain detailed records of repairs
Adhere to safety regulations, including OSHA and hazardous material protocols
Manually load and unload freight from trucks and containers
Stack, wrap, and stage products according to specific instructions
Utilize pallet jacks (manual or electric) as needed
Verify counts and inspect products for damage
Operate an RF scanner/gun to accurately track inventory and manage material movement
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
Safely and efficiently pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment
Assist in cycle counting and maintaining organized storage areas
Operate a Stand-Up Reach Forklift ONLY to stack, retrieve, and organize materials in high-bay racking systems
Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues promptly
Load and unload trucks, ensuring stability and accuracy
Build, rate, and tender loads to carriers, optimizing freight for maximum capacity
Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Excel to schedule appointments
Coordinate with drayage providers and track shipments
Verify shipment documents, including bills of lading, for accuracy
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail
Experience with WMS/barcode scanners
Knowledge of compliance standards
Prior experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong WMS experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
High-level numeracy and proficiency with Excel
High school diploma
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Knowledge of hand/power tools
Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting heavy items repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
Proven experience operating an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner/gun in a warehouse setting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Mandatory: Extensive, verifiable experience operating a Stand-Up Reach Forklift
Current and valid forklift certification/license (or ability to obtain one immediately)
Experience in logistics/dispatch
Proficiency in TMS software
Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred
Previous experience in a fast-paced loading/unloading environment is preferred
Bilingual (Fluent in English and Spanish)
