Responsibilities
Analyze purchasing data for cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement
Research suppliers of goods and services
Gather quotes, proposals, and purchase terms and condition
Execute the purchase of goods or services approved by management
Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts
Monitor and record supplier performance
Serve as a point person in vendor relationships, addressing questions or concerns
Working closely with the Production and Sales team members
Monitor and control inventory and submit purchase orders as needed
Recommend new products, services, or materials in keeping with industry trends
Negotiate and discuss pricing with external vendors
Evaluate the current methodology and identify any inefficiencies with the process
Qualification
Required
High school Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)
QuickBooks Experience (Required)
Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Excel & Word (Required)
Understanding of procurement software
Experience in procurement and vendor management
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Professional written and verbal communication with interpersonal skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field is a plus
Minimum 2 Years Customer Service Experience in an office setting
