Responsibilities
Learn to design, implement, and deploy secure Microsoft services in cloud and hybrid environments with guidance from senior engineers
Develop foundational skills in building frontend and backend systems, understanding distributed systems concepts and basic data integration patterns
Learn engineering principles for reliability, security, and compliance; contribute to telemetry and observability practices
Build and deploy code using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code with support and oversight
Collaborate with team members across disciplines to understand customer requirements and contribute to feature delivery
Learn debugging techniques, testing strategies, and how to interpret logs and metrics to identify issues
Follow engineering best practices for code quality, security, and operational excellence
Seek mentorship and feedback to accelerate growth; participate in code reviews and design discussions
Participate in service ownership activities (e.g., on-call rotations) to build operational awareness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination
This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements
You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions
Citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and adapt to new technologies and processes
1+ year(s) working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
1+ year(s) experience supporting government or regulated industries (security, compliance, and audit readiness)
