The role involves hands-on cost management across high-end retail and hospitality projects, including pre-contract planning and post-contract control.
Construction
Responsibilities
Pre-contract cost planning aligned with RICS best practices, including elemental cost plans and design-stage estimates
Post-contract cost control, including change management, forecasting and commercial reporting
Trade takeoffs, bid leveling and subcontractor procurement support
Monthly cost reports and cash flow tracking for active construction projects
Close collaboration with owners, designers and contractors
Preparation of monthly draws
Vendor financial management
Change order negotiations
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience in cost management / quantity surveying
Experience on high-end retail, flagship stores or hospitality projects
Familiarity with RICS methodologies and reporting standards
Proficiency in Bluebeam or OST
Strong Excel skills and comfort managing detailed budgets and estimates
Clear communicator comfortable working directly with clients and GCs
NYC-based or within commuting distance
Preferred
RICS accreditation (MRICS) or actively working toward APC
