Admissions Coordinator
Acadiana Management Group is seeking an experienced Admissions Coordinator for their Physical Rehabilitation Hospital in Lafayette. The role involves entering patient data, verifying insurance plans, and coordinating admissions with various departments to ensure a smooth process for patients and families.

Responsibilities
Entering all patient data and completing all admission consents with patient/family
Verifying and maintaining insurance verification and continued stay authorizations on all patients
Providing various departments within the facility with scheduled admissions and coordinating with Clinical Liaisons, doctors & nursing staff to review and ensure all pre-admit paperwork is completed
Providing tours of the facility as requested
Discussing projections at daily admissions meeting for the day/week and recording all documentation to be emailed to corporate office twice daily via reports
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent
Experience with hospital insurance verification and Authorization is required
Minimum of six months to one year's work experience in a related field
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
Excellent time management skills; organized and able to prioritize
Proficient computer skills
Possesses superb written and spoken communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues and others
Extensive hospital insurance verification
Ability to triage work demands while multitasking in a very busy environment
Attention to detail and organization
Preferred
Medicare Part A knowledge is a plus!
