Office Administrator
Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is seeking a detail-oriented Office Administrator to join their dedicated team. The role involves supporting cemetery operations by scheduling and coordinating services, maintaining records, and serving as a point of contact for families and professionals.
Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate funeral services and interments, preparing necessary documentation for field staff
Process and record grave sales, monument applications, and escrow payments
Serve as a point of contact for families, funeral directors, monument dealers, and visitors via phone and in-person
Maintain both historical and current records in paper and digital formats, including data entry into our cemetery database
Prepare financial reports for cemetery director meetings
File required reports with state regulators and municipal registrar
Provide backup support for other administrative staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy - this is essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Customer service experience with the ability to interact compassionately with families and professional contacts
Proficiency in data entry and maintaining confidential information
Administrative writing abilities
Intuit QuickBooks
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
