Vice President of Global Operations

DealBiz is seeking a Vice President of Global Operations who will oversee and lead the company's global operations system. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable business operations across various countries and regions, while managing multiple regional operations teams and collaborating with various departments to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement global operations strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business strategy and growth objectives
Translate strategic objectives from the board and senior management into actionable global operations plans
Establish clear global operations KPIs, performance indicators, and tracking mechanisms
Evaluate and continuously optimize the global operating model (centralized vs. localized)
Design, standardize, and continuously improve global operational processes and work procedures
Drive cross-regional process consistency to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
Identify operational bottlenecks, process redundancies, and cost inefficiencies, and develop improvement plans
Oversee operational excellence, lean management, or continuous improvement projects
Lead and coordinate operations leaders and teams across multiple countries and regions
Manage cross-cultural teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives
Establish a clear global governance structure and decision-making mechanisms
Promote collaboration, resource sharing, and best practice replication across regions
Oversee global supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and delivery systems (depending on the industry)
Ensure timely, high-quality, and sustainable delivery of products/services to customers
Manage supplier relationships, outsourcing partnerships, and third-party service providers
Develop risk mitigation plans to address supply chain disruptions or regional instability
Responsible for global operations budget, cost control, and resource allocation
Collaborate with the finance team to improve operating margins and capital efficiency
Evaluate return on investment (ROI) to support global expansion and operational optimization decisions
Promote cost transparency and financial accountability
Ensure global operations comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards
Manage operational risks, including compliance, business continuity, and security risks
Establish and maintain a global operational internal control system
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address audit and regulatory requirements
Drive global operational systems and digital transformation (ERP, WMS, CRM, etc.)
Ensure the accuracy, visibility, and decision-making capabilities of operational data
Utilize data analytics to drive operational optimization and predictive capabilities
Collaborate with the IT team to improve system integration and process automation
Establish and cultivate a high-performing global operations management team
Responsible for key position succession planning and leadership development
Set performance standards, drive a culture of accountability and results orientation
Attract, develop, and retain core talent in the global operations field

Required

Bachelor's degree or above in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
15-20+ years of operations management experience, including at least 10 years of global or cross-regional operations leadership experience
Proven track record of success in senior operations management roles in multinational corporations or fast-growing companies
Deep understanding of global operations, process optimization, and cost management
Excellent strategic thinking, execution, and decision-making abilities

Preferred

Master's degree (MBA or related field)
Experience living or working long-term in multiple countries/regions
Familiarity with multiple markets (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, etc.)
Experience in post-merger integration (PMI) or global expansion
Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence certifications
