Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on employee relations and implement best practices tailored to organizational needs
Review and update the Employee Handbook, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with current standards such as pay transparency and cybersecurity
Conduct comprehensive HR audits to identify and address areas for improvement
Develop and deliver training programs to support employee growth and organizational learning
Collaborate with executive leadership to review key initiatives and provide strategic HR advice
Design and refine offboarding processes, including termination and layoff procedures, while adhering to legal requirements
Schedule regular virtual and onsite engagements to connect with employees and address their concerns
Establish set hours for staff inquiries and provide accessible support for HR-related questions
Assist in recruiting for specialized positions, including challenging roles such as Chief Officer
Build strong relationships with staff, fostering trust and serving as a reliable HR contact when leadership is unavailable

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with expertise across all HR disciplines, and reviewing policies and procedures
Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, workplace policies, and HR best practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively
Proven experience working with mission-driven, non-profit organizations and diverse teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint for efficient documentation and collaboration
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with leaders and staff
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving priorities

Preferred

Familiarity with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs)
