3+ years expTensor Engineering is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong AutoCAD Plant 3D skills to support industrial and process system design projects on a contract basis. The role focuses on producing high-quality Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and piping isometric drawings for active engineering projects.

Responsibilities
Develop and revise P&IDs using AutoCAD Plant 3D
Generate piping isometric drawings from 3D models
Model piping systems, equipment, valves, and instrumentation
Ensure drawings meet applicable codes and project standards (ASME, ISA, ANSI, client requirements)
Coordinate with project engineers and multidisciplinary design teams
Implement redlines and field markups accurately and efficiently
Participate in QA/QC reviews and constructability checks
Maintain organized project files and documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years of experience using AutoCAD Plant 3D for P&IDs and isometric drawings
Strong understanding of piping systems, valves, pumps, and instrumentation
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME B31, ISA, API preferred)
Proven ability to produce construction-ready deliverables
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Must be located in the United States
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
Must be able to work on confidential and regulated projects
AutoCAD Plant 3D (required)
Preferred
Experience with industrial, energy, water/wastewater, or mission-critical facilities
Familiarity with Navisworks or 3D coordination software
PE license is a plus (not required)
Experience supporting federal or secure projects is a plus
Navisworks (preferred)
