Responsibilities
Own the full lifecycle of data engineering initiatives, from discovery, design, and deployment. Support is always available when you need it, but some autonomy will be expected
Utilising your knowledge of Azure Cloud Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric notebooks, you’ll design and implement scalable data pipelines
Design and activate effective solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
When necessary, support and guide colleagues with the dev of Power BI datasets, semantic models, and executive dashboards
A great communicator, you thrive in a cross-functional environment, supporting colleagues across legal ops, finance, and knowledge management to ensure data products directly support strategic and operational objectives
Qualification
Required
Proven experience delivering a project through its full lifecycle from concept to completion
Experience working in the legal or FS industry
Own the full lifecycle of data engineering initiatives, from discovery, design, and deployment
Utilising knowledge of Azure Cloud Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric notebooks to design and implement scalable data pipelines
Design and activate effective solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
Support and guide colleagues with the development of Power BI datasets, semantic models, and executive dashboards
Great communicator, thriving in a cross-functional environment
Extensive experience in data engineering (typically 7+ years), with proven client-facing delivery experience
Practical application of Azure Cloud Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric notebooks, Data Lake
Deep expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and enterprise data warehousing
Preferred
Bonus for understanding of core legal data platforms, including time recording, billing, matter management, and document management systems
