Analyst II-Electric Capital Budget

The Analyst II-Electric Capital Budget position is responsible for coordinating and analyzing the Electric Division's capital budget, supporting the creation of the Electric Expense Budget, and conducting annual variance reporting.

Responsibilities

Capital Budget Coordinator – This position is dedicated to supporting the Electric Capital Budget process starting with short/long term budget planning, through project authorization and approval, and ending with budget/project monitoring and eventual closure
Make Ready Process – This position will support make-ready through financial transfers, monitoring project expenditures, reauthorizations, and project true-up
Electric Expense Budget and Management – This position provides support and analysis on the creation of the Electric expense budget and providing monthly reporting
Other duties as assigned including Electric outage restoration activities

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related discipline
5 Years of public utility or financial experience in a related capacity
PA Driver's License
Demonstrates strong organizational, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
Demonstrates ability to interact professionally with senior management personnel
Demonstrates technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel and Access
Demonstrates ability to keep current with new computer software/technology for the continuous improvement of the capital and expense budget and analysis process
Ability to work on multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate and easy-to-follow supporting documentation
Demonstrates ability to work independently, take initiative, have a professional attitude, and have the desire toward self-improvement
Ability to perform financial analysis using various tools to identify variances, trends, and to develop budget forecasts and future capital and expense needs

Preferred

Advanced degree (MBA) or similar preferred
Familiarity with DOJM and SAC is desirable
