The Precision Ag Data Technician will manage and organize data, ensuring accuracy and security, while supporting the Precision Agriculture Department's initiatives through data analysis and technical support.

Responsibilities
Collecting, compiling, and entering data into databases. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data
Identifying and correcting data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
Maintaining and managing data systems to ensure they meet company requirements. This includes performing regular tests and backups to ensure data security and integrity
Working with team members and management to prioritize business and information needs
Adhering to data compliance and security policies in line with company and legal requirements
Troubleshooting technical issues related to data systems and performing data backups and recovery
Keep records of all the data and system corrective events and issues
Qualification
Required
Minimum requirement for entry-level positions is associate degree in data science, computer science, information systems, engineering, horticulture, agronomy or a related field
Experience with data entry, data cleaning, and data management tasks
Proficiency with spreadsheets, data analysis tools, and possibly some programming languages
Proficiency in entering, updating, and managing data accurately
Experience with data-related software like Microsoft Excel, Access, or ArcMap or other data management tools
Attention to Detail
Effectively communicating findings and collaborating with team members
Managing and organizing large volumes of data efficiently
Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills
Candidate should be a proactive self-starter; strong collaboration skills and high accountability standards required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
