Analyst - Operational Excellence

Habitat for Humanity International is a global non-profit organization focused on building homes and communities. The Operational Excellence Analyst position is responsible for supporting Habitat for Humanity affiliates through crisis and conflict, assessing compliance to policy, and developing strategies for risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

Assessing operational risk, strengths, and crisis response capabilities of local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. This includes reviewing new case information, drafting new case summaries for leadership review, and drafting letters and other documentation
Supporting affiliates’ efforts to address high-risk complaints and crises and work on related risk reduction, operational improvements, and increased compliance with Habitat for Humanity standards
Analyzing related reports and policies and procedures received from affiliate leadership and assisting them to develop corrective action plans to address high-risk and compliance issues when needed
Facilitating critical communication among all pertinent parties (including HFHI staff, affiliated network leaders and organizational stakeholders)
Collaborating on cases with other HFHI teams, such as Governance/Risk/Compliance, Legal, Public/Media Relations, Government Relations/Advocacy, Internal Audit, DEI, Safeguarding, and the Affiliate Support Center. Also works closely with most US Office teams
Collaborating effectively with other departments to design resources and materials in order to ensure successful service delivery to affiliates and to help protect the mission and brand of Habitat for Humanity
Collecting, recording, and analyzing data related to fieldwork, risk management and other administrative activities, including timely documentation of all casework in various systems.(SalesForce, EthicsPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
Providing coaching and training for affiliates and US field staff in order to help affiliates address high-risk problems, manage and prevent crises, manage conflict, and create an atmosphere for success

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of related experience
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to remain flexible and work in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including active listening
Ability to work with a diverse workforce and all levels of management
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Familiarity with Conflict management methods
Awareness of project management and/or consultative processes
Proficiency using Microsoft 365

Preferred

Habitat for Humanity work experience or work experience with similar non-profit organizations
Certification related to nonprofit consulting
Knowledge, skill, and experience related to managing or conducting workplace investigations and related interviewing
Certification related to conflict resolution
Basic knowledge of nonprofit financial management and analysis
Experience with data tracking & analysis
Experience with Salesforce or other contact management software
Understanding of HFH mission
