Responsibilities
Assist the Frozen & Dairy Department Manager with ensuring the successful operation of the department
Accurate recordkeeping, customer service, employee relations, expense control, inventory, shrink, public relations, stocking, and control freshness by rotating removing out-of-date merchandise
Provide front end support by running a register, bagging or carrying out groceries
Direct staff when in charge of the department to include: directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision
Qualification
Required
Experience in customer service
Ability to maintain accurate recordkeeping
Skills in employee relations
Knowledge of expense control
Experience with inventory management
Ability to manage shrink
Skills in public relations
Ability to stock merchandise
Knowledge of controlling freshness by rotating and removing out-of-date merchandise
Ability to provide front end support by running a register, bagging or carrying out groceries
Experience in directing staff, including workload management, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision
