PERT CASE REVIEWER

NYC Department of Social Services is responsible for protecting the integrity of social services programs. They are seeking a PERT Case Reviewer to conduct SNAP case reviews, monitor compliance, and evaluate workflows to improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

Conduct NCA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) case reviews. Monitor compliance with mandated deadlines of eligibility (determination or applications and recertification measures timelines of expedited SNAP requests
Review for appropriate case processing. Measure timeliness and adequacy of notices. Review accuracy of case denials and/or closings
Observe on-site application and recertification interviews at FIA SNAP locations city-wide to measure quality of service and accuracy of action(s) taken, professional demeanor of interviewer, correctness of information relayed during customer interaction and determine whether appropriate action was taken
Review case file information, Paperless Office System (POS) entries and Welfare Management System (WMS) to determine if all eligibility factors were accessed correctly and performed timely
Review WMS data to report on the appropriateness and accuracy of the system generated output/coding based on SNAP case activity view
Participate in meeting with center and regional managers to discuss review findings, SNAP center reviews conducted and facilitated corrective action plans
Perform other related process reviews as required

Required

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty
An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in '1' above
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in '1' above
Education and/or experience equivalent to '1', '2', or '3' above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in '1' above
Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in '1' above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years
