Responsibilities
Provide primary, urgent and preventative care for residents in assigned skilled nursing facility
Verify admission orders and conduct initial assessment of residents
Conduct physical exams, medication review, and depression screening
Collaborate with facility Medical Director, attending physicians and nursing staff to deliver the highest level of care to the patient
Communicate with and counsel family members on treatment options when there are material changes in status
Qualification
Required
Valid Nurse Practitioner License in Mississippi
DEA License
Nurse Practitioner national certification
A clinical background in adult, family or geriatric specialties
Vaccination against COVID-19 is required for all new hires unless the individual qualifies for a remote, religious, or medical exemption
Preferred
Experience in internal medicine, gerontology, or cardiology
Excellent administrative, organizational and verbal skills
Ability to work independently
Detail oriented
Dependable and reliable
Nursing experience in LTC / SNF a plus
