Responsibilities
Perform manual functional testing including black box and grey box testing methodologies
Execute manual and automation tests according to established test plans
Identify test conditions and create comprehensive test cases
Create and condition test data for effective test execution
Evaluate test results and perform retesting as needed
Document test results, report defects, and analyze testing data for reporting
Analyze requirements and coordinate with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts
Review and understand functional requirements and technical design documents
Conduct and participate in peer reviews of test cases and test plans
Understand client needs and concerns, reproduce issues, and analyze with internal teams
Validate release notes and ensure accuracy
Submit daily status reports
Identify and report risks proactively
Manage day-to-day implementation of testing processes
Validate and close applicable issues as appropriate
Qualification
Required
2 to 4 years of experience in manual testing
Sound understanding of software development and testing life cycle (SDLC/STLC)
Experience in defect reporting and management
Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
Hands-on experience with test management tools such as TFS (Team Foundation Server)
Good knowledge of testing methodology and Agile methodology
Proficiency with hardware debugging and testing tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Must be local to Somerset, NJ area or willing to relocate
Ability to travel to different testing stations in the New Jersey area as needed
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
