Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations for a scaling autonomous vehicle program, driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
Act as the primary point of contact for all employee/contractor needs at assigned locations, including inventory management, resource requests, vendor selection, analytics, onboarding/offboarding, and compliance
Partner closely with Recruiting, HR, Procurement, and Finance to align resources with operational priorities
Lead and mentor a diverse team of Autonomous Driver Specialists, Depot Specialists, and recruiters, providing clear direction, ongoing support, and performance feedback
Continuously monitor program health, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement risk mitigation strategies
Foster a safety-first, inclusive, and transparent workplace culture
Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational performance
Coordinate across internal teams to quickly resolve contractor/employee issues, serving as a 'player/coach' when needed to address urgent operational challenges
Participate in client calls, process updates, and post-project debrief sessions
Investigate incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries to determine cause, assess preventability, and recommend targeted training improvements
Participating in weekly meetings with sites and operations leads to aligning priorities and enhance training programs
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in a high-growth environment, with a focus on autonomous vehicles or automotive (especially fleet management)
3+ years of experience managing large teams of employees and/or contractors
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Strong leadership skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decision-making across cross-functional teams
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and public holidays
