Responsibilities
Managing a team of software developers tasked with delivering firmware features for the NetCloud Operating System (NCOS) from inception to general availability
Close collaboration with product management, hardware development, and endpoint NCOS teams to develop and implement strategic roadmaps
Identifying and addressing product gaps to drive change and achieve enhanced outcomes
Proposing ideas and initiatives aimed at enhancing customer value
Mentoring and coaching the team to deliver Cellular WAN solutions for Internet of Things (IoT), mobile, and enterprise customers, encompassing both LTE and 5G advanced technologies
Collaboration across geographically diverse software service teams to promote the sharing of expertise and implementation of best practices
10% domestic and international travel required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in Software Engineering or Development
4 years of experience in Initial modem bring up including customizing drivers for both on host and modem
4 years of experience in Initial modem RF drivers change for specific carrier and also changes host-based modem drivers to basic modem configuration through shared memory
2 years of experience in System-level changes for Modem software and application-side system software
2 years of experience in Vendor specific changes in the Telephony layer for data, signaling, and vendor-specific RIL enhancements
1 year of experience in Delivering results over many areas of the software lifecycle: design, development, debugging, validating optimization, and product support
1 year of experience in Hardware bring-up of SoC/ECU/Connectivity, firmware design and development
1 year of experience in Providing architectural and technical guidance and ensure sound engineering practices are followed
6 months experience in Design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new products
