Responsibilities
Lead a mission-driven compliance program that protects patients, clinicians, and the organization
Serve at a Community Medical Center featuring comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, 24/7 emergency care, and a culture of continuous improvement
Report to the Chief Executive Officer and partner closely with the Executive Team
Provide leadership to the Compliance Committee and oversee roles such as Privacy Officer and compliance analysts
Collaborate with Risk Management, Internal Audit, HIM, Quality, Legal, and IT Security
Design, maintain, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and training to meet regulatory, accreditation, and industry standards
Mentor leaders and staff on compliance competencies
Drive organization-wide quality and safety alignment
Lead risk assessments, audits, and fair, non-accusatory investigations
Ensure confidential handling of concerns and monitor corrective action plans
Present clear, unbiased reports and recommendations to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board
Coordinate the Compliance Committee in analyzing organizational risk, assessing controls, and monitoring effectiveness
Manage work plans, budgets, and vendor partnerships
Qualification
Required
Experience in leading a compliance program in a healthcare setting
Strong understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and industry standards
Ability to mentor leaders and staff on compliance competencies
Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and investigations
Proven ability to present clear, unbiased reports and recommendations
Experience in managing work plans, budgets, and vendor partnerships
Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with various departments
Ability to design, maintain, and improve policies and procedures
Experience in providing education and training related to compliance
Ability to handle confidential information and concerns appropriately
