This hands-on, client-facing role involves owning architecture end-to-end, from data models and platform design through to governance, performance, and delivery.

Responsibilities
Owning enterprise data architecture across conceptual, logical, and physical models
Designing scalable lakehouse / warehouse architectures (medallion layers, CDC, SCDs, ELT/ETL frameworks)
Building high-performance analytics and reporting layers (partitioning, clustering, optimisation)
Driving data governance, lineage, quality, and security (RBAC, masking, encryption)
Leading architecture reviews and technical decision-making
Producing clear architecture documentation (ERDs, data flows, diagrams)
Working directly with senior stakeholders in a consulting-led environment
Qualification
Required
8+ years in Data Architecture / Senior Data Engineering roles
Strong data modelling expertise (3NF, Star, Snowflake, Dimensional)
Advanced SQL and Python
Hands-on experience with modern data platforms: Databricks / Snowflake / BigQuery / Redshift
Solid understanding of warehousing, orchestration, and integration patterns
Confident communicator who thrives in client-facing consulting roles
Preferred
Exposure to governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Purview) is a plus
