Responsibilities
Lead clinical informatics initiatives
Oversee the implementation and optimization of the Federal electronic health records (EHR) and legacy VistA systems
Integrate health informatics and information technology strategies to modernize care delivery at the Department of Veterans Affairs and Military Health System
Analyze clinical, supply chain, experience, and revenue cycle data
Collaborate with cross-functional, clinically-focused teams
Provide guidance on best practices for effective technology adoption and innovation in healthcare services
Bridge clinical processes with technological advancements to achieve high-quality care outcomes
Qualification
Required
Expertise in Medical and Nursing Informatics and Health Informatics, including Medical Terminology and Interoperability Standards
Strong knowledge of Informatics and Information Technology systems used across the Federal Health Systems today and emerging trends and capabilities driving patient-centered improvement in commercial health care settings, including hospitals, ambulatory care, Connected Care, Care at Home, and Skilled Nursing Facilities/ Senior Living
Proficiency in working with and optimizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and support personnel - particularly Oracle (Cerner) and VistA - during and after implementation waves
Proven experience in developing and implementing informatics strategies in Federal healthcare settings and strong ecosystem relationships highly desired
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a bent towards servant leadership and inclusive bridge-building
Master's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Medicine and/or Nursing
Experience working within healthcare delivery for Military and Veteran Health is a significant advantage
Familiarity with SAFe Agile Portfolio, Program and Project management, including emerging ML/AI capabilities:
Digital Product Management at Enterprise Scale with measurable Mission Impacts is a plus
Human Systems Integration and Human Factors Engineering training and experience, to include UI/UX in Health settings is highly coveted
US Citizenship or Greencard required
Must attain Public Trust Clearance, with Secret and TS/SCI Clearance desired for collateral efforts underway supporting US DoW, National Security, and Intelligence Communities
