Senior Director of Business Development & Lead Generation
Verbal Beginnings is a growing, BHCOE-accredited and BCBA-owned autism therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. The Senior Director of Business Development & Lead Generation is responsible for strategic growth through managing referral partnerships and optimizing lead generation efforts to enhance service access and impact.

Responsibilities
Act as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership on growth planning and market Business Development & Referral Growth
Own and execute the organization’s business development strategy across all programs and regions
Build, maintain, and grow referral relationships with: Pediatricians and physician groups, Diagnosticians and psychologists, School systems and early childhood partners, Community organizations and professional networks
Develop scalable outreach strategies, referral tools, and partner education materials
Track referral source performance and identify opportunities to deepen, expand, or course-correct relationships
Serve as an external representative of Verbal Beginnings to this community
Partner with Marketing to oversee inbound lead generation strategy across: Paid search and paid social, Organic digital channels, Website conversion paths and forms
Ensure lead quality, volume, and flow align with organizational capacity and growth goals
Collaborate with Intake leadership to optimize: Speed-to-contact, Lead routing and prioritization, Handoff workflows between marketing, intake, and operations
Identify friction points in the digital-to-intake journey and drive continuous improvement
Engage with our agencies and freelancers who support various aspects of the lead generation process
Own top-of-funnel and mid-funnel performance metrics, including: Lead volume by source, Cost per lead / cost per qualified inquiry, Conversion rates from inquiry to scheduled next step, Qualification and disqualification trends by channel, Referral source yield and performance
Analyze trends across channels to inform investment decisions and growth strategy
Translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership
Partner with Operations to ensure growth strategies align with staffing, geography, and service availability
Serve as a connective leader across Business Development, Marketing, Intake, and Operations
Help define clear ownership, workflows, and accountability across teams
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, growth, marketing, lead gen or revenue operations, preferably in: Healthcare, Behavioral health, ABA, home health, or outpatient services
Demonstrated success managing both relationship-based growth and data-driven lead generation
Strong working knowledge of CRMs and lead management systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and digital acquisition workflows
Experience partnering with marketing teams on paid and organic acquisition strategies
Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into strategy and execution
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-growing organization
