Barrington Stage Company is an award-winning professional theatre located in the heart of the Berkshires. They are seeking a Special Events Assistant to support their Development team, focusing on donor and patron experience during events and performances.

Responsibilities

Set up, host, and break down the Patron Lounge during performances
Greet and engage donors, board members, and VIP patrons in a warm, professional manner
Assist with light food and beverage service pre-show and/or during intermission
Ensure the lounge is clean, organized, and welcoming before and after each performance
Assist with set-up, execution, and strike for special events, including: Opening night donor parties, Receptions, Gala-related support, On-site support at dinners, parties, and donor gatherings
Assist with event clean-up and post-event wrap-up
Other event-related tasks as assigned to support the Development team
Assist with and direct VIP donor parking on select performance and event nights
Help manage arrival flow and answer patron questions as needed

Required

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for event set-up and strike
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, public-facing environment
Friendly, upbeat, and professional demeanor
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Able to take direction, problem-solve, and adapt as needs arise
Comfortable engaging with donors and patrons of all backgrounds

Preferred

Valid driver's license (preferred; not required)
