Assists with teaching students how to do laboratory procedures such as preparation of bacterial growth media and operation of laboratory equipment
Assists in writing professional papers for publication about the experiments and mathematical modeling
Qualification
Required
B.A. in Biology or Molecular Biology or a related field
Minimum 18 years of age
Ability to execute experiments in molecular microbiology
Ability to use computational biology to analyze genome sequences
Ability to recognize and troubleshoot experiments
Ability to follow safety guidelines and exercise good judgement
Ability to uphold policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, facilities, and equipment
Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds
General office skills to include operating of computers, copiers, and phones
Preferred
Graduate degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
Commitment to inclusion and equity in all aspects of operations
Ability to multi-task, work independently and self-motivate
