This role involves overseeing daily accounting functions, financial reporting, payroll, and human resource processes, while driving the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.

Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions
Oversee Accounts Receivables and ensure timely collections
Prepare and issue monthly billing for contractor and maintenance work
Manage Invoicing and ensure accuracy of billing details
Perform Month-End Close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Generate accurate and timely Project Reporting for management
Handle Contract Management and ensure compliance with financial terms
Oversee Waiver Management for vendor and subcontractor compliance
Record and manage Payroll accurately and on schedule
Enter Purchase Order (PO) receipts into Aspire or other relevant systems
Supervise data entry, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking
Prepare periodic financial statements and assist with annual budgeting
Supervise and lead the HR functions, including employee onboarding, record keeping, and benefits administration
Coordinate with external HR consultants or platforms as needed
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Controller, or similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience in the landscaping, construction, or similar service-based industry preferred
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Aspire, etc.)
Strong organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Experience with HR processes and payroll management
Ability to communicate clearly and lead a small finance/HR team
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Familiarity with Aspire business management software
Experience in managing financials for project-based or service-based businesses
