Prognostics Design Summer Intern 2026
RoboStruct Technologies is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join their Fleet Health Management & Remote Diagnostics team. The intern will support the development of a unified Vehicle and Fleet Health Management framework focused on predictive diagnostics and intelligent fault detection.
Responsibilities
Contribute to Fleet Health Management (FHM) and Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) programs
Assist in building a unified framework for monitoring vehicle and fleet-level health
Develop system health models using telemetry data, engineering inputs, and software diagnostics
Create and maintain a scalable diagnostic knowledge base integrating vehicle architecture, hardware, and software
Apply AI/ML techniques for anomaly detection, early failure identification, fault isolation, and mitigation
Explore knowledge graphs and large language models (LLMs) to enhance fault reasoning, automation, and explainability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert engineering knowledge into actionable diagnostic and prognostic models
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in PHM, including fault detection and prognostics
Solid foundation in systems engineering or vehicle architecture
Experience with data analysis, machine learning, time-series data, and anomaly detection
Familiarity with PHM concepts and health monitoring systems
Exposure to knowledge graphs, semantic modeling, or ontologies
Proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams
Preferred
Experience with vehicle telemetry systems or signal processing
Familiarity with LLMs or generative AI frameworks
Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD at an accredited university (proof of enrollment required)
