The role involves creating accurate 3D models and detailed drawings for electronic enclosures and sheet-metal housings, closely collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities
Take customer drawings or samples and turn them into SolidWorks models
Create cutouts, holes, bends, flat patterns, and assemblies
Generate production-ready 2D drawings with GD&T and BOMs
Work on sheet-metal parts a lot (this is not a pure machined-parts job)
Prep approval drawings for customers and sales before production
Coordinate with production control to release jobs
Make sure designs are manufacturable, not just 'technically correct'
Assist with or create BobCAD-CAM toolpaths
Think through how parts will be machined on a VMC
Work closely with machinists to improve efficiency
Help with fixture concepts and machining documentation
Qualification
Required
Strong in SolidWorks
Understands sheet metal (bend allowances, flat patterns, fab reality)
Likes working close to the shop floor
Enjoys seeing designs go from screen → machine → finished product
Is detail-oriented and comfortable with production drawings
