Talent Acquisition & Development Manager
Reader Precision Solutions is seeking a Talent Acquisition & Development Manager to lead the full cycle recruitment process and support employee development initiatives. This role is crucial for overseeing hiring, onboarding, and performance management to enhance employee engagement and retention.

Responsibilities
Own and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned roles, including:
Recruiting and sourcing of candidates through multiple channels
Job postings, advertising, and applicant tracking
Resume screening and candidate communication
Phone screens, interview coordination, and interview participation
Offer recommendations pitched to the leadership team
Partner closely with the Director of Education & Outreach on workforce development initiatives, including youth talent pipelines and early career programs
Represent the company alongside the Director of Education & Outreach at career fairs, school and college visits, mock interviews, and community outreach events
Support hiring, onboarding, and development of Youth Apprentices and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Youth Apprentice program
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, role requirements, and hiring timelines
Ensure a positive, professional, and engaging candidate experience
Maintain accurate recruiting and applicant data within HRIS system
Create, update, and maintain job descriptions across the organization
Partner with HR leadership, department leaders, and the Director of Education & Outreach to support career path creation and progression opportunities
Support development pathways for early career talent, including Youth Apprentices, interns, and entry-level employees
Ensure job documentation aligns with business needs, compliance requirements, and internal equity
Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for all new hires, including:
Offer letters and pre-employment requirements
New hire orientation scheduling and materials
Collaboration with HR, payroll, IT, leadership, and the Director of Education & Outreach to ensure readiness
Partner closely with the Director of Education & Outreach to schedule and execute onboarding activities, required trainings, and early employee development programs
Ensure completion and tracking of required onboarding trainings and activities
Lead new hire benefits meetings and serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit questions
Conduct 401(k) new hire meetings and support quarterly 401(k) onsite participant meetings
Support the performance management process, including:
Midyear and annual performance review cycles
Training for managers and employees on performance expectations and review processes
Track and support employee development milestones, including:
45-day review tracking and follow-up
90-day follow-up meetings and documentation
Partner with managers and VP – Human Resources to ensure timely feedback, documentation, and development discussions
Assist in identifying training, engagement, and retention opportunities
Manage and track safety shoe orders and prescription safety glasses programs
Serve as a backup for payroll processing as needed
Support Workers’ Compensation administration, including:
Assisting with injury reporting, documentation, and claims coordination
Partnering with leadership, safety, and insurance providers as needed
Supporting return-to-work and accommodation processes
Support OSHA-related compliance activities, including:
Assisting with recordkeeping, reporting, and documentation
Supporting audits, training coordination, and compliance initiatives
Learn and support HRIS administration including:
Employee data maintenance
Recruiting, onboarding, and performance modules expert
Reporting and basic system troubleshooting
Support HR initiatives, audits, compliance activities, and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, or a related field (manufacturing or skilled trades environment preferred)
Experience with HRIS systems required; Paylocity experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully
Demonstrated ability to build trust and effective working relationships with employees and leaders at all levels
Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to support employees and the business
High level of empathy, emotional intelligence, and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential matters
Strong listening skills with the ability to understand concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and provide appropriate guidance
Comfortable navigating change, ambiguity, and a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
