Transportation
Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, budget, assign, supervise, and motivate project team members
Manage site engineering plans including layouts, grading, storm drainage, water, utility, street and sanitary sewer design, and erosion control
Provide oversight and quality control for calculations, design drawings, and specifications
Review and analyze field data collection
Prepare written studies and technical reports
Attend client meetings and provide project updates
Represent client interests in meetings and conferences with stakeholders
Oversee construction observation activities
Coach and mentor junior staff
Lead coordination with utility providers, contractors, and permitting authorities
Assist with project pursuits and proposal preparation
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with a focus on land development
Ability to manage fast-paced projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of local, state, and federal design regulations and industry practices
Strong understanding of land development planning and entitlement processes
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Self-starter with leadership and mentoring capabilities
Active involvement in professional organizations
Interest in business development and maintaining project workload
Preferred
Experience with HEC-HMS and StormCAD or similar modeling tools preferred
