Program Manager

Mohawk Opportunities, Inc. is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting adults with psychiatric diagnoses in achieving independent living skills. The Program Manager will provide leadership and supervision, ensuring client-centered services and compliance with regulations while overseeing staff and program operations.

Mental Health Care

Responsibilities

Program oversight includes evaluation of client referrals, client admission, communication and collaboration with service providers and family members, oversee service provisions that are client centered
Medicaid billable services, regulatory compliance, oversee the group home is safe and comfortable, and oversee the program budget
Staff training and development, leadership and supervision of 6-7 staff members including one Assistant Program Director, in addition shared on-call for staff on a rotating basis
Oversight to ensure the group home is maintained in a safe and healthy manner with the assistance of the clients and the team
The Program Manager is located at the group home and provides direct services to the clients. The Program Manager mentors staff members in providing client-centered services by role modeling and teaching
Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging
Provide transportation to clients using the agency’s vehicles

Required

Bachelor's degree in a human service and one year experience in mental health, or Associate's degree in human services and three years' experience in mental health or high school diploma and five years' experience in mental health
1 year's supervisory experience
Valid and insurable driver's license. Agency vehicles are available for transporting clients. Must have a personal vehicle to use for business purposes when not transporting clients
Strong leadership ability
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The ability to be organized, multitask, and have good time management skills

Preferred

Experience with electronic records
Experience or education in crisis intervention and prevention
