Founding Account Executive (VC & Private Equity)

They are seeking a Founding Account Executive to drive new customer acquisition across Venture Capital and Private Equity, owning the full sales cycle and engaging with sophisticated buyers.

Responsibilities

Own new logo acquisition
Prospect, qualify, and close new VC and PE customers
Own the full sales cycle: discovery → demo → pilot → procurement → close
Convert pilots into annual contracts and drive expansion over time
Engage Partners, Principals, Heads of Platform, Investment Ops, and Deal Teams
Navigate multi-stakeholder, consultative sales cycles where trust and credibility matter
Clearly articulate ROI around speed, accuracy, and decision quality
Build pipeline proactively across a defined ICP
Use outbound, events, and founder-led introductions to generate momentum
Take full ownership of deals from first conversation to signature
Pressure-test messaging, positioning, and pricing with real customers
Turn live deals into repeatable talk tracks, objections, and proof points
Work closely with founders to continuously improve demos and sales strategy
Maintain strong CRM and pipeline discipline
Help define what 'great' looks like for future AEs
As traction is proven, contribute to hiring and mentoring new team members

Required

3–5 years of B2B sales experience selling to venture capital and/or private equity firms, with clear ownership of closing deals
Experience selling technology or SaaS solutions
Proven ability to run a consultative sales process with multiple stakeholders
Strong discovery skills and comfort selling value, not features
High learning velocity and comfort operating in an early-stage environment
Excellent written and verbal communication
