Responsibilities

Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products
Record data associated with the building of products on build records
Recognize problems as they arise and interface with technicians, engineers or supervisor to find a solution
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Work with engineers and supervisors to perform special assembly requests
Assist the production lead in addressing day-to-day production issues including staffing needs, material availability, and equipment status
Follow all related quality, compliance, and company policies and procedures
Understand operations objectives and work with team members to achieve overall production goals
Responsible for learning and maintaining knowledge and skills to perform majority of the manufacturing processes successfully
Train other assemblers on certified manufacturing procedures as directed by the lead and supervisor
Act as a production lead as needed
Provide associate performance feedback to lead and supervisor
Meet all performance standards and metrics by using time and resources efficiently
Maintain safe and clean working environment by keeping work area in a neat and organized manner
Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum four (4) years of manufacturing experience
Ability to do small part assembly work using a microscope, vision system, and/or related automated equipment
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate (read, write, and speak in English) with peers, engineers, leads, supervisors, and managers
Ability to follow manufacturing procedures and work instructions
Basic math skills
Knowledge of basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, US and metric measurement
Proficiency in assembly procedures, with the ability to train others on the assembly procedures and inspect assembler's work
Strong sense of urgency
General knowledge of cleanroom procedures
Solid interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Ability to work in a culturally diverse work population
Ability to work overtime as required

Preferred

Experience in medical device assembly
Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience
