This role focuses on user access controls, control testing, and audit documentation, requiring strong attention to detail and ownership.

Responsibilities
Perform IT audit and IAM access control assessments (new users, transfers, monitoring)
Test SOX and ITGC controls and document results
Review and validate audit evidence; create and maintain workpapers
Identify control gaps and support remediation efforts
Maintain daily project trackers and provide weekly status updates
Partner with IT, Security, Audit, and control owners
Retest remediated controls and ensure QA alignment
Participate in bi-weekly onsite meetings for alignment and progress
Qualification
Required
2–4+ years of IT Audit or SOX-related experience
Strong understanding of SOX, ITGC, and access controls
Hands-on experience with control testing, evidence review, and audit documentation
Basic understanding of applications, databases, and operating systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
Preferred
IAM, COBIT, NIST, or SOC 2 exposure
Experience in regulated industries (utilities, energy, fintech, life sciences)
Big 4 background is a plus
Strong Excel skills for trackers and reporting
