Responsibilities
Develop and improve marketing materials for Initiative Department programs
Prepare timely and accurate reports as require
Research innovative or promising practices, propose ideas/solutions, and present final project to team during internship
Participates in trainings and meetings as assigned
Edit, revise, and prepare materials to be published in print
Create technical documents and materials for both internal and external audiences, such as: instruction manuals, web-based copy, journal articles, and standard operating practices
Create and grow social media presence/profiles, and assist with social media analytics and reporting
Develop social media materials for campaigns and events with appropriate and appealing content (writing/ editing/ graphic design)
Provide general support on projects and tasks as needed
Coordinate efforts with fellow seasonal staff and the Community & Family Initiatives Department staff
Provide ideas to grow and improve services
Engage with customers and clients to provide resources and services
Learn and become proficient on internal software
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Complete Data Practices, Protected Health Information, and Security Trainings within fifteen (15) days of hire
Must hold a valid driver's license and proof of personal vehicle insurance
Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
Must successfully pass a background check
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings, early mornings, and occasional weekends
Ability to make decisions, exercise independent judgment, manage time and meet deadlines with minimal consultation
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete a variety of different assignments at various stages in a timely manner with attention to detail
Knowledge of and skill with computer technology in preparing reports and presentations, data analysis and retrieval, email and internet applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with the public in a one-on-one manner
Ability to work independently in a team environment
