MARKETING - Summer 2026 Internship

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is a nationally acclaimed visual and performing arts complex, and they are seeking a Marketing Intern to join their dynamic Marketing team. In this hands-on role, you will help promote exhibitions, programs, and events while gaining real-world experience in museum marketing and audience engagement.

Responsibilities

Create and assist with engaging content for social media, email newsletters, and website
Support marketing efforts for exhibitions, public programs, and special events
Draft and edit copy, assist with image editing, and organize digital marketing assets
Support on-site events through photography, videography, live posting, or visitor engagement
Provide general administrative support to the Marketing team as needed

Required

A current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in marketing, communications, art history, museum studies, or a related field
A strong written and verbal communicator with an eye for detail
Interested in art, museums, and cultural or nonprofit organizations
Comfortable using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Organized, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple projects
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to support/work with us at our nearby locations/events

Preferred

Familiar with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (a plus but not required)
Valid Drivers License a plus
