This role involves meaningful responsibility on complex private equity transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents and managing all phases of M&A transactions.

Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary transaction documents
Support acquisitions, divestitures, and add-on transactions
Manage all phases of M&A transactions, including structuring, due diligence, closing, and post-closing matters
Work directly with private equity funds, portfolio companies, founders, and management teams
Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, finance, and governance disciplines
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school
Active Missouri bar admission required
3+ years of sophisticated business and transactional experience
Strong focus on private equity–backed M&A and complex corporate transactions
Experience handling middle-market deals
Law firm or clerkship experience
Strong academic credentials
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively
