They are seeking an Interconnection Manager to oversee the interconnection pipeline for residential solar + storage projects, ensuring efficient project progression through utilities and partners.

Responsibilities

Own the full interconnection lifecycle for residential solar + storage projects, from application preparation and submission through approvals and PTO
Draft, submit, and manage accurate interconnection applications across multiple utilities and jurisdictions
Actively track project status, utility responses, corrections, resubmissions, and approvals to keep projects moving forward
Resolve interconnection issues and escalate strategically when risks to timelines or customer experience arise
Serve as Haven’s primary point of contact for utility interconnection teams and program administrators
Manage utility requirements related to rate changes, tariff changes (e.g., NEM, NEM 2, NBT), interconnection applications and approvals
Stay current on evolving utility rules, tariffs, and technical requirements and translate them into clear operational guidance
Manage vendor performance related to interconnection accuracy, responsiveness, and cycle times
Provide structured feedback and drive improvements to reduce resubmissions and delays
Own key interconnection performance metrics, including cycle times, utility SLAs, resubmission rates, PTO aging, and fallout reasons
Build and maintain clear visibility into the IX pipeline through dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools
Analyze trends and bottlenecks across utilities, vendors, and regions, and drive targeted process improvements
Partner with Operations and Digital teams to improve data quality, automate reporting, and scale interconnection workflows
Use data to proactively forecast risk, capacity constraints, and delays, informing operational planning and customer communications

Required

5+ years of experience managing interconnection for residential solar and/or battery storage projects with California IOU and municipal utility experience
Strong working knowledge of utility interconnection processes, tariffs, and technical requirements
Comfort working with data, metrics, and dashboards to manage performance and prioritize work
Proven ability to manage a high-volume operational pipeline with precision and accountability
Experience coordinating across utilities, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues before they become blockers
Clear, confident communicator who can navigate complex utility and partner conversations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with evolving processes

Preferred

Experience with battery-heavy or storage-only interconnections
Familiarity with VPPs, demand response programs, or grid services enrollment
Experience working closely with design or engineering teams on interconnection requirements
NEM / successor tariff experience
