Commercial Operations Analyst (Remote)

They are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Commercial Operations Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across Sales and Marketing. This role involves analyzing commercial data, maintaining reporting, and building foundational dashboards to enable informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

Support Sales and Commercial teams with routine data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking
Assist with pricing analysis, sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and CRM reporting with guidance from senior team members
Prepare recurring reports and ad-hoc analyses to support sales operations and commercial decision-making
Perform regular data checks to help ensure accuracy and consistency across CRM, ERP, and reporting tools
Build and maintain standard dashboards and reports related to: Revenue performance, Opportunity and pipeline metrics, Territory performance, Conversion and funnel metrics
Update existing dashboards and reporting tools as business needs evolve
Help translate data into clear visuals and summaries for internal stakeholders
Work with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and IT to gather reporting requirements and understand business needs
Support documentation of reporting logic, definitions, and basic processes
Assist in troubleshooting basic data or reporting issues and escalate more complex problems as needed
Develop a strong understanding of sales processes, commercial KPIs, and business drivers
Learn and support BI tools and commercial systems, including CRM platforms
Support global teams as needed, with occasional flexibility in work hours

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
Up to 2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, academic projects, or early-career roles involving data analysis
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis)
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy
Clear communication skills with the ability to explain data findings effectively
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Willingness to learn new tools, take feedback, and collaborate with team members

Preferred

Exposure to BI or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Domo, or similar)
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) or basic SQL through coursework or project experience
Basic understanding of sales metrics, pipelines, or financial concepts
