EDUCATION Summer 2026 Internship
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is a nationally acclaimed visual and performing arts complex seeking an Education Intern for Summer 2026. In this hands-on role, the intern will develop K – 12 field trip programming, create summer camp experiences, and support community art-making activities.

Responsibilities
Develop exhibition-related art-making activities for K – 12 field trips, summer camps, Midsummer Festival of the Arts, and/or the Social STUDIO
Write new tours and tour activities for K – 12 field trips
Support Education programming at key events throughout the summer, including working in the activities tents at our Thursday night concert series and Midsummer Festival of the Arts AND working in the Social STUDIO
Provide general administrative support to the Education team as needed
Qualification
Required
A current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in museum studies, K – 12 education, studio art, performing art, communications, or a related field
You have prior experience and interest in working with children, preferably in an arts based setting
A strong written and verbal communicator; organized and adaptable
Comfortable and experienced working with the public and providing excellent customer service, particularly in a fast-paced environment
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Valid Drivers License and ability to work with us at our nearby locations/events is a plus
