HR Leave of Absence Coordinator

The HR Leave of Absence Coordinator will provide critical support and expert guidance to employees navigating leave programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating smooth transitions during periods of absence.

Responsibilities
Manage the leave administration process from the employee’s initial claim filing notice for leave to the employee’s return to work date. This would include but is not limited to obtaining and completing required paperwork, determining eligibility for leave, designating leave, requesting medical documentation as required, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use
Work with the STD Claim Coordinators and Human Resources to monitor leaves and provide regular status reports as well as resolve any complex issue that arises during the lifespan of a leave
Maintain complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices
Communicate and work with a variety of internal and external sources to achieve timely return to work date and prompt resolution of the claim
Prepare and mail leave notices (e.g., FMLA leave notices) as required to employees requesting leave
Create and maintain an activity file containing required documentation for leave of absence

Bachelors Other Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors), upon hire
