Benefits and Leave Adminsitrator

The Benefits and Leave Management Administrator will serve as the subject-matter expert, managing the full lifecycle of benefits and leave administration while ensuring compliance and enhancing employee experience.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary administrator for employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, and voluntary plans
Manage all leave programs such as FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation coordination, military leave, and organizational policies
Act as the escalation point for complex cases, exercising sound judgment to ensure consistent and compliant outcomes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and ACA
Lead open enrollment planning, audits, system updates, and qualifying life event processing
Manage vendor and carrier relationships, resolving issues and coordinating plan changes
Partner with HRIS to optimize integrations and improve system functionality
Maintain audit-ready records and prepare reports on utilization, trends, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, and operational leaders to ensure aligned benefits and pay practices
Qualification
Required
Advanced knowledge of benefits and leave regulations and administration
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex cases
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential matters
Experience working with HRIS and benefits platforms
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification required
Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in benefits and leave administration, preferably in a highly regulated environment such as healthcare
Preferred
Experience supporting or transitioning to a self-insured benefits model
