Associate Director, Commercial Sales & Relationship Management

Responsibilities
Serve as a primary commercial point of contact for an assigned portfolio of public and private corporate clients, delivering consistent, high-quality client service while building trusted advisor relationships
Drive revenue growth and retention by clearly articulating S&P Global Ratings' value proposition and positioning Ratings products to meet client needs through strategic account planning and market insight
Lead commercial negotiations for assigned accounts, partnering with your Team Lead on more complex or sensitive engagements while demonstrating sound business judgment
Identify cross-sell opportunities through active account coverage and understanding client needs by leveraging deep market knowledge and analytical perspective
Provide expert guidance and coaching to junior team members on complex client matters and relationship management strategies
Track and manage opportunities within a CRM, ensuring accurate pipeline data and timely follow-up while maintaining high standards of operational excellence
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant experience in sales, relationship management, or client service within a financial services environment
Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy and make decisions within defined parameters while requiring minimal direction
Working understanding capital markets, corporate finance, and credit fundamentals
Proven track record of building relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes through analytical insights
Strong attention to detail and discipline around CRM usage, reporting, and internal processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients across different organizational levels
Bachelor's degree (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred)
US Travel Required
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer
