The Senior Accountant is responsible for daily and monthly accounting transactions, maintaining regulatory compliance reporting, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities
Maintain monthly & quarterly accounting transactions and reporting
Monthly reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledgers; booking of journal entries relating to daily operations and month-end closing
Ensure timely reporting to Juniper Square for quarterly investor accounting requirements
Manage all A/P and A/R to include borrower interest statements and interest payments
Ensure that accounts payable are accurately processed in the proper period, appropriate GL account and are paid in a timely manner
Process the monthly construction draw disbursements in Land Gorilla to include ordering inspections, progress reviews and setting up the related wires with the bank
Manage the database of investors, calculate & distribute monthly preferred returns, quarterly
EDC and professionally communicate with investors as needed
Maintain the borrowing bases with commercial debt partners including provisions for all monthly reports and documents to the bank and/or related parties
Calculate payoff statements and communicate with escrow regarding payments
Maintain active contractor licensing and insurance certificates as needed
Support collateral management between financial institutions, custodians and capital partners
Assist with audit and tax preparation and documentation
Responsible for third party vendor relationships to ensure that the results needed from these relationships are being executed in a timely and accurate fashion
Qualification
Required
Advanced knowledge and understanding of general accounting practices
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving
Strong internal and external customer service
Ability to demonstrate a positive working attitude and contribute to a culture of excellence
Highly organized with keen attention to detail
